Within the framework of completing the ongoing preparations for the operation of Rene Moawad Airport – Qlayaat, and following up on the security, operational and logistical procedures related to the project, the Minister of Interior and Municipalities Ahmed Al-Hajjar held a meeting in his office, which included representatives of the security services and concerned departments.

The meeting was attended by the Commander of the Rafic Hariri International Airport – Beirut Security Service, Brigadier General Fadi Kfoury, the Commander of the Rafic Hariri International Airport – Beirut Company in the Internal Security Forces, Brigadier General Izzat Al-Khatib, the Head of the General Security Department at Rafik Hariri International Airport – Beirut, Colonel George Dagher, the representative of the General Directorate of Customs, the Head of the Duty Free Passenger Department, Controller First Shukri Al-Hajj, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sky Lounges Services, Ziad Al-Mulla.

During the meeting, the updated project map was presented based on the observations proposed by the security services, which were approved by the attendees.

Al-Hajjar stressed that the key to the success of operating Rene Moawad Airport – Qlayaat lies in the integration and cooperation between the various security agencies and all concerned parties, stressing that the next stage requires the highest levels of coordination to ensure proper workflow and provide the best services to travelers.
