The Cellular Syndicate called for expediting the full payment of financial dues to employees, stressing that implementing the terms of the employment contract is not an option, and that the obligations of its parties must be implemented without selectivity or delay.

In a statement, the union stressed the right of eligible employees to obtain the annual increase according to the performance evaluation approved within the two companies operating the cellular sector, demanding that the increase include its full retroactive effects for the due period.

She explained that what is required has become clear and cannot be interpreted, and is to implement what was stipulated in the employment contract and pay all dues quickly, according to what the directors of the two companies confirmed during their communication with the union.

She pointed out that paying dues by the end of September would provide financial support to employees and their families, coinciding with the start of the school year and preparation for the winter season and the additional financial burdens that accompany them.

The union’s demand comes at a time when Lebanese families are facing mounting living pressures, especially as a result of the rise in school fees and the cost of transportation and fuel, which makes paying raises and late dues a priority for workers in the sector.
