21 carat decline.. gold prices in Jordan today, Sunday, November 1, 2026

Gold prices in the Jordanian market witnessed a noticeable decline, today, Sunday, November 1, 2026, for all calibres, according to the latest price issued by the Syndicate of Jewelery Trade and Gold Shop Owners. This local decline comes as a result of the losses incurred by an ounce of gold globally, which amounted to 3% during the past week, affected by the strength of the US dollar and the increasing expectations of an interest rate hike at the upcoming Federal Reserve meeting next December.

At the global level, an ounce of gold ended its trading at the level of $3,875, after breaking the $4,000 barrier to reach its lowest level at $3,870, compared to an opening price of $3,998, while during last October’s trading, the ounce recorded a monthly decline of 6.8% (losing about $284 per ounce) for the second month in a row, bringing its losses since the beginning of 2026 to 10.3%. This comes in light of the Federal Reserve keeping interest rates stable between 3.75% and 4% while indicating that inflation will remain high, with markets pricing in a 78% probability of raising interest rates soon, according to the “Fed Watch” tool.

In the Jordanian local market, the prices of buying and selling fine gold reached the following levels:

The selling price of a gram of 24 karat gold was about 91,100 dinars, compared to 87,400 dinars for purchase, a decrease of 3,300 dinars.

The selling price of a gram of 22 carat gold was about 84,100 dinars, compared to 79,500 dinars to buy.

The selling price of a gram of 21 carat gold (the most in demand locally) was about 79,700 dinars, and the buying price was 75,800 dinars, recording a decrease of 2,600 dinars in selling and 2,700 dinars in buying compared to Thursday’s price.

The selling price of a gram of 18 karat gold was about 70,200 dinars, compared to 64,500 dinars for purchase, a decrease of 2,600 dinars for sale and 2,500 dinars for purchase.

The price of the gold pound (weighing 8 grams of 21 karat) was about 637.6 dinars (excluding workmanship), while the value of an ounce of gold in the local currency was estimated at about 2,757 dinars.

Gold prices in Jordan remain hostage to direct movements of the ounce on the global stock market and changes in the dollar exchange rate, amid continuing selling pressures that limit the chances of recovery in the near term, with the level of $3,870 per ounce being considered the current main support point.
