Representative Bilal Al-Hashimi called for adopting the experience of the “Useful Vehicles and Vehicles Registration Authority” as a model for state administration, praising the improvement that citizens began to see in this facility after years of suffering, crowding, delays, brokerage, and accumulations of administrative corruption.
Al-Hashimi said, in a statement following his visit to the Acting Head of the Vehicle and Vehicles Registration Authority, Brigadier General Nazih Qobrosli, in Dekwaneh: “I clearly saw the extent of the improvement that citizens began to notice in this facility.”
He added: “What is happening today is more than a passing administrative procedure. When the organization of roles becomes more respected, transactions become clear, the employee is accountable before the law, and the need for intermediaries and mediators decreases, we will be facing an actual step towards restoring the state’s prestige and enhancing citizens’ confidence in its institutions.”
Al-Hashimi stressed that the fight against corruption is not achieved through slogans or conferences, but rather by closing its daily outlets for completing transactions, signing, and mechanisms for providing services, and preventing the citizen from becoming a hostage of a network of interests in order to obtain his legitimate rights.
He extended his appreciation to Brigadier General Kobrosli and all the contributors to the reform process, stressing that confronting corruption within a public administration burdened with accumulations is not an easy task, but rather requires a courageous decision, steadfast will, and continuity of work.
He concluded: “We want the Al-Naf’a experience to become a model for state administration in which the citizen does not need an intermediary, is not forced to pay an additional cost to obtain his rights, and does not stand in front of an official’s door seeking a personal service. The battle of building the state begins from here: a law that is implemented, an administration that is subject to accountability, and a citizen whose dignity is preserved.”
