Members of the Lebanese Civil Defense, with the participation of teams from several centers, carried out a series of missions to put out fires that broke out in various areas of the Bekaa and Chouf, and were able to rescue 3 women after thick smoke surrounded their home.
The Department of Information and Public Relations at the General Directorate of Civil Defense announced that the personnel extinguished fires that broke out in the forests of Meksa, Al-Mreijat, Jdita, and Qab Elias in the Bekaa.
During the extinguishing operations in Meksa, officers rescued 3 women and took them to a safe place, after their house was exposed to heavy smoke resulting from the fire.
The teams also extinguished a fire in Mount Jeb Janine in the Western Bekaa District, in addition to fires that broke out in the forests on the Deir al-Mukhallis-Bisri road, and in the Dahr and Zaarouriya farms in the Chouf District.
Civil Defense personnel worked during various missions to encircle the fire, control it, and prevent it from spreading to neighboring areas.
Teams continue to monitor the sites that witnessed the fires, to prevent renewed fires.
