The distinguished Jaafari Mufti, Sheikh Ahmed Qabalan, considered that the occasion of the birth of the Great Prophet constitutes one of the greatest stations of new history, because of its connection to the essence of the prophetic missions that established the birth of human history in accordance with the divine truth based on mercy, love, and existential justice.
Qabalan said, while receiving popular delegations in his office at the Jaafari Fatwa House, that the basic root of this message was represented by Heaven’s insistence on the thesis of the guarantor right, as a basis for the earthly human environment and function, which strongly contradicted the environment of local, regional and international injustice at the time of the prophetic mission.
He pointed out that the Prophet Muhammad paved the path of truth and established what was necessary for the structure of existential justice with qualitative human value, despite the presence of two of the largest unjust empires that shared the world at that time.
He added that the Prophet affirmed the hierarchy of man within the system of heaven, and called on creation to return to its Lord, warning against the tyranny of the ego, the brutality of the tribal mind, the tendency of entityism, the jungle of money, the world of influence, and the various models of tyranny. He also called for preventing human beings from being torn apart and turning them into a physical or instinctive mass. He stressed the universality of human creation and function, and what is necessary to confirm existential identity and transnational discourse, and prevent the creation of causes of injustice, tyranny, tyranny, and local and international corruption.
Kabalan believed that these principles put the Lebanese today in front of the reality of their reality, in light of the historical ordeal that the Lebanese family is experiencing and the circumstances of its emergence, division, discord, and authoritarian political administration, in the midst of a world competing for killing, plundering, extermination, and atrocities, implementing the projects of the financial and industrial lobbies, and satisfying the hunger of the military complexes.
He stressed that this reality requires the Lebanese family to affirm the commonalities that established the country’s establishment, considering that “the cancer of executive policy, the sectarian curse hunters, and the crazy group of dependency are putting the country in the heart of its worst historical conditions.”
Qabalan said: “Today we live in the middle of a Middle East that is suffering from the throes of a new regional and international birth. We, as Lebanese, are supposed to secure the conditions for solidarity, solidarity, defense, coordination and internal employment, to control the concept of a sovereign country in accordance with the core national interest and historical doctrine, not the interest of Tel Aviv.”
He considered that the political decision-making class in Lebanon places the country in the heart of an unprecedented existential crisis, and insists on playing a role that serves the American project and what he described as “the Zionization of the country,” stressing that this “will not pass even if the Middle East turns to ashes.”
He added that the executive authority is still, in his words, submissive to the American game to the point of abandoning its national character with regard to the south and the front defending Lebanon’s interests and sovereignty.
He believed that “nothing today serves the Israeli army more than the framework agreement,” considering that the agreement has been transformed, with the signature of the current authority, into “an executive instrument in the hands of Israel” to further bulldoze the southern border villages and destroy homes, schools, hospitals, electricity and water networks, and other infrastructure.
He criticized the absence of any sovereign policy on the part of the executive authority, except for what he called the “deadly opposite” policy, and more suffocation, collusion, and militancy against the people of the south, the suburbs, and the Bekaa.
He warned that this path is extremely dangerous, because, according to him, it establishes a stage, approach, and mind of an executive authority that wants to strike at the core of Lebanon’s components, end the national formula, and push towards unparalleled strife in the history of local and regional destruction.
Qabalan addressed his speech to the Lebanese people and the political forces, saying that what the Shiite community has endured for nearly 80 years has not been tolerated by anyone, and that what it has provided to Lebanon exceeds the origin of its existence and its historical sacrifices, stressing the necessity of justice for it because “injustice does not last.”
He considered that the regional reality and how things will end do not help the executive authority’s gamble, calling for a return to Lebanon and its consensual national formula, and an exit from the game of canonizing the country for Washington and Tel Aviv.
He continued: “The game of political killing is clear, open, and very dangerous. Whoever denies the national sacrifices and what the resistance made that reclaimed the country, the state, and its institutions is disavowing Lebanon and playing in the interests of Washington and Tel Aviv.”
He stressed that the current moment is for convergence, not division, considering that the occasion of the birth of the Greatest Prophet requires the advancement of national, not sectarian, rights, and that the Lebanese should be for Lebanon, not for Washington and Tel Aviv.
He called for an inventory of historical responsibilities, far from courtesy, considering that everyone is responsible for the injustice and “political suicide” that places Lebanon in the heart of the worst situation since its inception.
Qabalan believed that nothing is more important for the region and the region than a settlement that brings together Arab and Islamic countries around a project that ends what remains of American and Israeli hegemony in the Middle East, after Tehran, as he put it, destroyed its pillars and bulwarks of its regional tyranny.
He concluded by saying: “There is nothing greater in the sight of God than the unity, solidarity, and sovereign interdependence of nations, and there is no national unity in Lebanon without representative and political justice, and without sovereign hostility to Israel.”
