The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) has officially launched voting for fans to choose the ideal squad for the 2026 World Cup, revealing the full list of candidates for various positions.

The list witnessed the presence of one Arab candidate, as the Moroccan national team star, Ismail Saibari, represented the Arabs by being among the options presented in the midfield.

The competition for the goalkeeping position was limited to 5 names, led by the Spanish Unai Simon, the world champion goalkeeper and winner of the “Golden Glove” award for the best goalkeeper in the 2026 World Cup, along with Emiliano Martinez (Argentina), Jordan Pickford (England), Fosinha (Cape Verde), and Eloy Rom (Curaçao).

The defensive line list caused a loud surprise by excluding the Spanish duo Pau Cobarci (the best young player in the World Cup) and his colleague Aymeric Laporte, despite their defensive solidity and La Roja conceding only one goal during 8 matches in the World Cup.

The list of candidates in defense was as follows: Mark Cucurría and Pedro Boro (Spain), Lisandro Martinez and Cristian Romero (Argentina), Nuno Mendes (Portugal), Virgil van Dijk (Netherlands), Gabriel Magallaes (Brazil), Dayo Upamecano (France).

The midfield was decorated with the presence of Moroccan Ismail Saibari, alongside the elite of world stars: Rodri and Lamine Djamel (Spain), Enzo Fernandez (Argentina), Jude Bellingham (England), Michael Olise and Ousmane Dembélé (France), Vinicius Junior (Brazil), and Luka Modric (Croatia).

The attacking line was staffed with the world’s top scorers:
Lionel Messi (Argentina), Mikel Oyarzabal (Spain), Kylian Mbappe (France), Erling Haaland (Norway), Harry Kane (England), Julián Quiñones (Mexico).
