Several sources reported that veteran Croatian midfielder Luka Modric will sign his new one-year contract with AC Milan, as expected, a few weeks before he turns 41 years old.
Despite this, Modric decided not only to continue on the field, but to play among the adults with the Milan team, according to what was indicated by the newspaper “Football Italia”.
Reports have previously indicated that a new contract will be signed between Modric and Milan for one year this week, most likely tomorrow, Wednesday, and things seem to be going according to plan.
The Croatian star is expected to receive 3.5 million euros annually, in addition to bonuses, until June 2027.
Modric participated in 37 matches with Milan during his first season, scoring two goals and making three other goals.
