English club Manchester City announced the extension of the contract of its star, Phil Foden, for a period of four years, to continue with the team until 2030.
Foden, a graduate of the club’s academy, won 17 major titles with City, including six titles in the English Premier League and the Champions League.
Foden said: “Playing for this club is everything I wanted, and I am always honored to wear this shirt. I lived through a historic era full of titles, but we look forward to achieving more in the future.”
The renewal comes at the beginning of a new phase for Manchester City after the departure of Pep Guardiola and Enzo Maresca taking over as coach of the team.
The club also continues to strengthen its ranks, as reports indicate that it has agreed to include Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest for 116 million pounds sterling.
