Today, Friday, November 6, 2026, gold prices in Jordan witnessed a slight decline in various calibres, compared to the price of the previous day, coinciding with the decline in the international price of an ounce to about $4,050 from its peak, according to the latest price issued by the Syndicate of Jewelery Trade and Gold Shop Owners. Despite this slight decline, the global yellow metal still achieved gains of more than 5% since the beginning of the week.

In the local market, a gram of 21 carat gold, which is the most in demand, recorded about 82.5 dinars for sale and 79.1 dinars for purchase, recording an increase of about 1.4 dinars compared to last Tuesday’s price, which amounted to 81.1 dinars. These trades are close to their highest levels in weeks, directly affected by the movements of the ounce on the global stock market.

The following is a list of buying and selling prices for various bullets and gold products in the Jordanian market, without taking into account manufacturing wages, according to the latest data:

  • 24 karat: The selling price of a gram was 94.6 dinars, the price of one gram bar was 94.6 dinars, the price of a half-gram bar was 47.3 dinars, and a 2.5-gram bar was 236.5 dinars.
  • 22 caliber: The selling price of a gram reached 87.4 dinars.
  • 21 caliber: The selling price was 82.5 dinars and the purchase price was 79.1 dinars.
  • 18 karat: The selling price of a gram reached 73.1 dinars.
  • Gold pound: The Rashed Lira (weight of 7.2 grams of 21 carat) recorded about 594 dinars, while the English Lira (weight of 8 grams of 22 carat) reached about 699.2 dinars.
  • Local ounce: Its value in local currency amounted to about 2,946 dinars.

At the global level, the ounce is trading in spot transactions around the level of $4,050, supported by weekly gains exceeding 5%, recovering from its lowest level in a year, which it touched a week ago at about $3,870, after it jumped yesterday to above $4,100. Prices derive this support from the decline of the US dollar to its lowest level in a month following the US midterm elections, and the decline in oil prices, which eased inflation fears, as well as anticipation of developments in a possible agreement between the United States and Iran.

In terms of expectations, the price movement in the Jordanian market remains dependent on the performance of the global ounce and the results of the US non-farm payrolls report expected to be issued within hours, at a time when the markets are pricing in a probability of about 83% to raise US interest rates during the month of December. If an ounce continues to trade in the range of 4,050 to 4,100 dollars, a gram of 21 carat gold is likely to move locally between 82 and 84 dinars, with the possibility of a decline remaining if the US dollar rises again.
