The Customs Administration continues its intensive operations to combat smuggling and illegal smuggling of various types of goods that enter Lebanon illegally. During the past hours, a force from the Smuggling Investigation Division carried out 3 operations in Tripoli, Beirut, and Minya, which resulted in the seizure of quantities of smuggled tobacco materials and the arrest of a number of those involved.

In Tripoli, after monitoring and follow-up operations, the force raided a warehouse and a number of secret hideouts designated for hiding tobacco materials, where they seized a quantity of smuggled honey and smoke. The goods were confiscated, while their owner was taken to the relevant center in preparation for taking the necessary legal measures.

In Beirut, the force stopped a car and searched it, finding inside it a quantity of smoke and smuggled electronic cigarettes. The goods were seized and their owner was taken to the competent center to take legal action.

In Minya, based on information about a car transporting smuggled tobacco materials, the force chased the car and was able to stop it and seize the smuggled goods, while the detainees were taken to the competent center to take the necessary legal measures, under the supervision of the competent judiciary.
