The file of official exams for free applications has entered a new phase, after the Ministry of Education and Higher Education announced its postponement to a date to be determined later, in implementation of the decision of the State Shura Council issued today, August 24, 2026.
The ministry’s media office explained that the decision came “in implementation of the decision of the State Shura Council issued today, 8/24/2026, in Revision No. 27121/2026, which decided to halt the implementation of the circular issued by the Director General of Education No. 61/2026.”
Accordingly, it was decided to postpone the official examinations for free applications in general education for the intermediate and general secondary certificates in their four branches until a date to be determined later.
Setting the new date is linked to what will be issued by the State Shura Council regarding this file, or any legislation that may be issued by the House of Representatives regarding it, according to what was confirmed by the Ministry of Education.
