Upon his arrival to the celebration of the Prophet’s birthday, held by the General Directorate of Islamic Endowments, Prime Minister Nawaf Salam affirmed that this occasion brings to mind the values of justice, mercy, tolerance, rejection of division and fanaticism, and the primacy of peace.
Salam said: “On the anniversary of the Prophet’s birth, we recall from the life of the Prophet Muhammad justice, mercy and tolerance, rejecting division and fanaticism, giving priority to peace and bringing people together for good.”
He added: “I extend my sincere congratulations to the Lebanese in general and Muslims in particular, hoping that the coming days will bring security and stability to our country, that our people will return to their land and homes, and that we will all come together under the roof of one strong and just state that preserves the dignity of its people and protects them.”
He concluded: “Happy New Year to Lebanon and the Lebanese.”
