In the context of a day full of meetings at the Government Palace, Prime Minister Nawaf Salam received the founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Seven Management Group, Rabie Fakhr El-Din, who presented him with a copy of the book “Beirut, My Love,” published by “Assouline.”
Fakhr al-Din briefed the Prime Minister on the path that led to the completion of the book, in coordination and cooperation with the publishing house.
Salam congratulated Fakhr El-Din for the initiative, stressing the importance of these publications in preserving Beirut’s memory, introducing its history and cultural and civilizational identity, and conveying its image to the world away from the image that has been reduced to wars and crises.
Salam stressed the importance of showing Beirut as it is, “an Arab Mediterranean city, rich in its diversity, heritage, and creativity of its people, and with its constant ability to renew.”
The meeting comes within a series of meetings held by Salam today, which included meetings that dealt with the situation of the Lebanese Olympic Committee and development affairs related to the northern region, in addition to receiving a delegation from Dr. Muhammad Khaled’s social institutions, and the head of the Arab Cultural Club, Salwa Baasiri, at the head of a delegation to which he extended an invitation to sponsor and attend the Arab Book Fair.
