In light of the escalating security developments in the south, the mayor of Arnon received a call from the Israeli side containing urgent warnings about evacuating the area.
Information revealed that “the mayor of Arnon received a direct call from the Israeli side, which included a clear invitation to inform the people of the need to take immediate measures.”
According to the available information, the Israeli caller informed the mayor of “there is an intention to carry out attacks in the vicinity of the town,” asking him to “convey an urgent message to the residents.”
During the call, the caller stressed “the necessity of evacuating the area quickly,” stressing that “the Israeli army will target the site,” noting that the goal is to avoid civilian casualties.
The caller also requested that this warning be circulated by all available means, especially through WhatsApp groups, to ensure that it reaches the largest segment of the population, and called for an immediate evacuation to a distance of no less than 1,000 meters north.
The caller repeated the phrase “we don’t want innocent people” more than once, indicating their desire to keep residents away from the potentially targeted site, while emphasizing the importance of speed and lack of negligence in carrying out the evacuation.
The communication seemed direct and urgent, with an emphasis on the need to spread the warning as widely as possible, and to verify that the area is free of civilians before any possible military action.
This development comes in light of the escalation of Israeli warnings, which sometimes arrive through direct communications with local officials or through leaflets and field messages, within the framework of what Israel calls “advance warning measures” before carrying out strikes, a method that raises widespread controversy in Lebanon about the risks and effects on civilians.
