Iranian appreciation for the role "Hezbollah"...and threatening a broader move if necessary

Brigadier General Ismail Qaani, Commander of the Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, said on Sunday that Hezbollah’s field performance exposed the falsehood of the “lies of the Zionist entity” related to the destruction of the capabilities of the resistance, stressing that they are baseless allegations.

In his statement, he pointed out that Israel, despite its use of trained manpower and advanced military equipment, supported by American taxpayer money, is today much weaker than ever before in the face of the steadfastness of the Lebanese youth.

Qaani stressed that Israel failed to achieve any decisive victory in any war it fought during the past years, or to achieve the goals it announced.

He considered that the unity and interdependence between the resistance forces had become stronger and more established than before, stressing that “Hezbollah is not alone,” and that all resistance parties support its fighters, adding that intervention will be made to support the Palestinians and Lebanese when necessary.

He also pointed out that what is known as “the unity of the squares” has become more influential in supporting Hezbollah and the rest of the resistance parties.

In a related context, he stated that Iran made establishing a ceasefire on the Lebanese front a basic condition in its negotiations with the United States in Islamabad.

He explained that the Islamic Republic suspended the second round of negotiations due to the other party’s failure to adhere to a number of conditions, including lifting the naval blockade of Iranian ports and stopping Israeli attacks on Lebanon.
