A statement from the Union of Municipalities explaining the truth about the evacuation of towns "Batroun" After rumors spread

The Union of Batroun District Municipalities and the Association of Batroun District Mukhtars issued a joint statement refuting the rumors that spread about the evacuation of residents from towns in the Batroun outskirts, in anticipation of any possible attacks. Both parties stressed that these allegations are baseless.

The statement issued by them stated a categorical denial of “the news circulating about the evacuation of the towns of Batrounia in the desert region for fear of being targeted,” while emphasizing that “this news is incorrect and has nothing to do with the truth.”

It is noteworthy that the past few hours have witnessed the circulation of information on social media platforms claiming the evacuation of a number of Jardiya villages in the Batroun district, against the backdrop of the military escalation taking place in the country and the Israeli raids that targeted several areas in the south and the Bekaa.

The circulation of this news sparked a state of panic and anxiety among the people, which necessitated the issuance of an explanatory statement by the Union of Batroun Municipalities and the Association of Mukhtars, which categorically denied these rumors and confirmed that there were no evacuations in the area.
