The Minister of Education and Higher Education, Dr. Rima Karami, announced that the General Directorate of Higher Education has begun receiving applications for candidacy for the colloquium exams for the year 2026 – the second session, for the specialties of speech pathology, optometry, psychomotor therapy, and occupational therapy.
Applications will continue to be received from Tuesday, September 1, 2026 until Friday, November 20, 2026, via the electronic link of the Colloquium Department of the General Directorate of Higher Education.
Applications are submitted directly from stakeholders for graduates from higher education institutions outside Lebanon, and from the representative of the university or college concerned for graduates from private higher education institutions inside Lebanon.
The Ministry explained that electronic registration closes at 5:00 pm on Friday, November 20, and that candidates must also submit the nomination file in paper, including the required documents, to the secretariat of the Collaboration and University Equivalencies Department in the central building of the Ministry of Education in UNESCO, Habib Abi Shahla Square, sixth floor.
Graduates from outside Lebanon can submit the file directly or through a family member, namely grandparents, parents, children, brothers, sisters, husband or wife, while the files of graduates from private higher education institutions inside Lebanon are submitted through the representative.
The Ministry confirmed that colloquium exams will be conducted in the officially approved language of education in private higher education institutions in Lebanon, that is, exclusively in French or English.
For graduates from private higher education institutions in Lebanon, the required documents include a certified copy of the ID card or an original individual registration certificate that is not more than 3 months old and includes a recent photograph, a recent photograph certified by the mayor of the locality, and an exact copy of the Lebanese secondary school completion certificate or the Lebanese Technical Baccalaureate or its equivalent, in addition to an exact copy of the university equivalency statement for certificates issued by other than the Lebanese University. If the equivalency has not been completed on the date of submission of the application, university certificates and relevant transcripts must be attached, certified by the Secretariat of University Authentications.
As for graduates from higher education institutions outside Lebanon, they must submit a copy of their passport, a certified copy of their ID card, or an original individual record that is not more than 3 months old and includes a recent photo, in addition to a recent photograph certified by the mayor of the locality, a true copy with a new date of the Lebanese secondary school completion certificate or the Lebanese Technical Baccalaureate or its equivalent, and a true copy with a new date of the university equivalency affidavit.
The Ministry pointed out that those wishing to participate in the colloquium exams for the second session must submit a request for the equivalency of their university certificates no later than Friday, October 30, 2026.
The student must also pay the subscription fee within one week from the date of acceptance of his application, and upload the receipt directly to the platform.
