“Red TV”
In this episode of “East and West,” we open the Saudi file with our guests:
Editor-in-Chief of Al-Liwaa newspaper, Mr. Salah Salam,
From Riyadh, the head of Lebanese CEOs, Mr. Rabih Al-Amin,
At a stage when the region is redrawing its political and security balances after the America-Iran war. How does Riyadh view the major transformations? Did it emerge more powerful and influential in the Gulf and the region? What is the true role of its role in protecting the Gulf from sliding into a comprehensive confrontation, and in rearranging the Arab scene from Lebanon to Syria?
In remarkable positions, Salah Salam confirms that Saudi Arabia’s position is ahead of the rest of the Gulf countries, and that it will not be affected by the UAE’s withdrawal from OPEC, considering that the UAE’s decision is immediate, and that Abu Dhabi will return soon. It also reveals that Riyadh played a key role in sparing Lebanon embarrassment regarding the meeting between President Joseph Aoun and Benjamin Netanyahu.
In turn, Rabie Al-Amin stresses that President Nawaf Salam’s visit to Syria comes as a continuation of the Saudi effort, and its results will be reflected positively, stressing that the Kingdom is keen on the stability of Lebanon, and that implementing the Taif Agreement remains the only solution.
We discuss these topics and others in this episode of “East and West”
