The Association of Judicial Assistants entered the line of objection to the draft 2027 budget, warning against ignoring the rights of public sector employees, and announcing its joining of the action scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, in Riad Solh Square.
The association said, in a statement following a meeting it held to discuss current developments, that the 2027 draft budget submitted by the Ministry of Finance to the Council of Ministers did not note any increases or measures that would be fair to public sector employees, despite the continuing decline in purchasing power and the deterioration of living conditions.
The meeting stopped at what was approved in the February 16, 2026 session in terms of 11 times the salary, stressing the need to commit to implementing what was approved, and not to retreat from it, divide it, or circumvent it.
The Association announced its full support for the statement that brings together public sector associations, military and civilians, with all the demands, provisions and positions it contains.
It also called on all judicial assistants to participate widely and intensively in the action scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. in Riad Solh Square.
The association concluded its statement by emphasizing that “our rights are not a gift from anyone, nor a gift from an authority or an official, but rather acquired rights and obligatory entitlements,” adding: “The right of our children to a decent life and a better future is a sacred right that we will not give up. Our date is tomorrow in Riad al-Solh… our presence is our strength, and our unity is the way to seize our rights.”
