Former Prime Minister Najib Mikati made a call to the Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Ahmed Al-Hajjar, praising the work done by the Information Division of the Internal Security Forces in exposing a security network suspected of planning to launch attacks and destabilize Lebanon and the Syrian coastal region.
Mikati said that the progress of investigations into this file and the revelation of all aspects of the plan that was being prepared for it protected Lebanon and Syria from “a malicious plan that almost destroyed the security and stability of the two countries.”
Mikati praised the role of the Lebanese security services and the professionalism in which they work, stressing that the accuracy of this stage requires greater attention to what is being hatched in secret and in public, in addition to coordination with the competent Syrian authorities in this field.
