Al-Nasan, 17 years old, was a player in Al-Mughir Club and a member of the Palestine youth national team. He was injured in his thigh and his leg was amputated before he died a week later, according to the Palestinian Football Association.
The Union accused the Israeli forces of shooting at him during the settlers’ attack, while Wafa Agency reported that two other Palestinians were injured with rubber bullets and a child with a sound bomb.
The player’s father told Agence France-Presse that his son went to the site of the attack after hearing the screams of women and girls, stressing that he loved football and was loved by the village people.
According to a count by Agence France-Presse based on data from the Palestinian Ministry of Health, Israeli soldiers or settlers have killed at least 1,088 Palestinians in the West Bank since October 2023.
