The “Lebanon Debate” correspondent reported that an Israeli raid targeted the five wings area in Choueifat – Amrousieh, in a remarkable field development that is considered the first of its kind in this region since the ceasefire.
This targeting comes at a time when Israeli violations continue on more than one axis, after the attacks during the last stage were mainly concentrated in the south, the Bekaa, and some roads, before extending today to an area close to the capital, Beirut.
The final outcome of the raid or the extent of the damage it caused is not yet known, while additional data is expected to be released about the nature of the targeted target and the repercussions of the strike.
Minutes later, Israeli army spokesman Avichai Adraee announced that the Israeli army had “accurately attacked a short while ago in the Beirut area,” without providing further details about the nature of the target or the results of the raid.
The targeting of Choueifat-Amrousiya carries serious field implications, as it expands the scope of Israeli attacks beyond the traditional areas of confrontation, and raises questions about the path of escalation and the limits of commitment to the ceasefire agreement.
This raid comes in the context of the escalation of ongoing Israeli violations, amid fears that the confrontation will move to a more extensive stage, especially with the repeated attacks by military aircraft and drones, and the continued military pressure on several Lebanese regions.
