Prime Minister Nawaf Salam affirmed that the safe return of any liberated Lebanese to his homeland constitutes an important step on the way to addressing this issue, thanking the American administration, especially Ambassador Michel Issa, for the efforts made in this field.
Salam stressed that work will continue until all prisoners are released, the fate of the missing is revealed, and complete Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territory is achieved.
He added that the negotiating path will continue, no matter how difficult it may seem, while continuing to mobilize all efforts required to preserve the rights of Lebanon and the interests of the Lebanese, especially the people of the south, secure their safe and dignified return to their land and villages, and restore the state’s full sovereignty over its lands.
