A murder shook the city of Zahle, after a 38-year-old woman was found dead inside her home in the industrial city, suffering from a gunshot wound, in an incident that the security services are continuing investigations to uncover its full circumstances.
The National News Agency reported that the victim, named R.S., born in 1988, was found murdered inside her home, amid a security alert and field investigations initiated by the security forces and competent agencies immediately after the crime occurred.
In the same context, the “Lebanon Debate” correspondent reported that preliminary investigations showed that the victim had a previous relationship with the suspect, before she separated from him and established a relationship with another person, which, according to preliminary data, prompted him to commit the crime.
The information indicated that the security forces arrested one of those suspected of involvement in the case, while investigations continue under the supervision of the competent judiciary to determine all the details and motives related to the crime.
The incident caused widespread shock in the region, especially with the recurrence of crimes related to emotional and family disputes, amid calls for tightening legal and security measures to reduce violent crimes and murders.
