In field developments on the southern front, Hezbollah announced the implementation of two military operations targeting Israeli army vehicles in the town of Hula, located on the southern Lebanese border, in the context of escalating clashes between the two sides.
A statement issued by the Islamic Resistance stated that its fighters targeted, at 11:20 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, an Israeli troop carrier in the village of Hula using appropriate weapons, confirming a direct hit.
In a later statement, the party stated that its members targeted, at 12:00 noon on the same day, an Israeli “Merkava” tank in the same town, noting a direct hit as well.
The party explained that these two operations come as a response to the Israeli attacks that targeted dozens of Lebanese cities and villages during the past few hours, including the “southern suburb of Beirut.”
These operations fall within the context of a comprehensive military escalation taking place in Lebanon, with Israel intensifying its air strikes on multiple areas of the country, especially in the “southern suburb of Beirut,” the south, and the Bekaa.
During the past hours, the “Southern Suburb” witnessed a series of Israeli raids targeting the areas of Hadath, Al-Laylaki, and “Haret Hreik” after repeated warnings issued by the Israeli army to residents to evacuate certain buildings before bombing them.
