After the end of Aoun's term: Raad meets with the president's advisor

Today, the head of the Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc, MP Mohamed Raad, received the First Advisor to the President of the Republic, Brigadier General Andre Rahal, as part of a series of periodic meetings that the two parties agreed to continue.

During this meeting, the latest developments on the local scene were reviewed, as the two parties exchanged opinions on the latest political and field developments at all levels, as part of the ongoing consultation between them on the current stage and the challenges presented.

In a related context, Raad had stated after his meeting with the President of the Republic at Baabda Palace that the current stage requires all Lebanese to address their internal situations through correction, cooperation and good coordination. He pointed out that his meeting with the President of the Republic was characterized by frankness and responsibility, during which the importance of understanding and cooperation was emphasized in order to achieve common national goals.

He added that the priorities begin with ending the occupation and releasing prisoners, then enhancing stability and the return of residents to their homes and villages, and launching the reconstruction process, leading to the state assuming responsibility for protecting national sovereignty and supporting it when needed, with an emphasis on rejecting any interference or guardianship of any kind. It was also agreed to continue meetings and consultations, and to agree on a working mechanism that would lead to achieving these goals as quickly as possible and at the lowest cost, and in a way that preserves national sovereignty and dignity.
