After his meeting with Telecommunications Minister Charbel El Hajj, MP Dr. Abdel Rahman Al-Bizri delivered good news to the people of Sidon, Jezzine, and their regions, announcing that the adjudication of the project to extend the fiber optic network in the city will be completed by the end of this year, enabling everyone to benefit from the ultra-fast internet speed via “fiber optic” in their homes and institutions.
Al-Bizri affirmed that “this project has been long awaited, and that the deprivation of the people of Sidon and Jezzine from this service for many years is nearing its end,” and explained that “work will begin quickly, which will positively impact various sectors, especially the economic and commercial movement, cultural and educational activities, and the ability of the city’s residents to accomplish their work more effectively and communicate with their relatives abroad.”
Al-Bizri also expressed his thanks to Minister El Hajj and the Ogero administration for responding to the demands of Sidon and Jezzine, stressing that “the time has come for them to enjoy their natural right in this field after an unjustified delay.”
