تحذيرات من كارثة تهدد صناعة الكرتون ومصائر مئات العاملين

A delegation of cardboard factory owners visited the Minister of Industry, Joe Issa Al-Khoury, and presented him, according to a statement, with “the extent of the industrial disaster affecting their factories and threatening the displacement of 400 workers as a result of opening the door to importing manufactured cardboard and its entry through the Lebanese land borders.”

Saeed Yassin نقل said that the Minister of Industry refused “to neglect this industrial sector, which attracts thousands of Lebanese and is a key sector in Lebanese industry,” stressing that “he will work with all his efforts to stop imports and will raise this issue with the Minister of Economy and Trade, Amer Al-Bustani, to stop imports,” and stressing that “the priority is to protect Lebanese industrial production.”

The delegation called for “stopping import licenses for manufactured cardboard, which allow hundreds of tons of it to enter daily through various land crossings, which causes serious damage to factories and the Lebanese economy.”
