U.S. President Donald Trump reported that a number of U.S. allied countries in the Middle East have expressed their willingness to send large numbers of military forces to the Gaza Strip. This willingness comes in the event that the “Hamas” movement violates the peace agreement that was recently signed under the auspices of Washington and Cairo.
In a post on the “Truth” platform, “Trump” stated: “Many of our great allies in the Middle East and the surrounding areas have informed me directly and with great enthusiasm that, at my request, they are ready to enter Gaza with large forces and deal with Hamas if it continues to act badly and violate its agreements with us.”
The U.S. President also indicated that he advised these countries to wait at the present time and give the “Hamas” movement a full opportunity to abide by the agreement and implement it fully. He added: “If they do not make the right decision, the end of Hamas will be quick, violent, and without mercy.”
“Trump” expressed his gratitude to the countries that support the American efforts, including Indonesia, pointing out that “the love and unity that the Middle East is witnessing today has not been seen for a thousand years.”
“Trump’s” statements come amidst an intensive diplomatic movement in the region aimed at maintaining the fragile truce in the Gaza Strip. In this context, U.S. Vice President “JD Vance” arrived in Israel on a visit aimed at supporting the ceasefire agreement, coinciding with a visit by the head of the Egyptian General Intelligence, Major General “Hassan Rashad,” who is holding meetings in Tel Aviv with the U.S. envoy to the Middle East, “Steve Witkoff.”
It is worth noting that the Sharm el-Sheikh International Summit, which was held on the thirteenth of October, laid the main foundations for the agreement, under the joint chairmanship of “Trump” and “El-Sisi” and with the presence of leaders from more than twenty countries, including Turkey and Qatar. The leaders signed a comprehensive document aimed at ending the war in the Gaza Strip.
As part of the implementation of the agreement, the “Hamas” movement released twenty Israeli detainees and handed over a number of bodies, in exchange for Israel’s release of about two thousand Palestinian detainees. “Trump” described this step at the time as “the beginning of a new phase of peace and stability in the Middle East.”
The agreement, which was announced on the tenth of October, comes into effect amidst strict international monitoring and American pledges to follow up on its implementation “firmly.” Eyes remain on the behavior of the “Hamas” movement and its commitment to the terms of the agreement in the coming weeks.
