Escalation Between Israel and Hamas, Raids on Gaza After Ceasefire Violation, and American Efforts to Prevent the Collapse of the Agreement.

The Israeli army announced the launch of raids on Hamas targets in the southern Gaza Strip, citing the movement’s violation of the ceasefire agreement. Palestinian sources reported more than 20 Israeli raids on the eastern areas of Khan Yunis.

This escalation comes after initial Israeli raids on Gaza, in which Hamas was accused of violating the truce, which the movement denied. The Israeli Prime Minister’s office confirmed that Benjamin Netanyahu ordered strong action against what he described as “terrorist targets” in Gaza.

In contrast, American and Israeli sources stated that Tel Aviv informed Washington in advance of the attacks through the American command center overseeing the truce.

The administration of US President Donald Trump is striving to prevent the collapse of the agreement, as a senior official stated that they expected this escalation, and urged Israel to respond with restraint and focus on isolating Hamas and finding an alternative to it in Gaza.

The “Israel Hayom” newspaper also revealed that Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff spoke with an Israeli minister and urged him to respond in a thoughtful manner to avoid the collapse of Trump’s plan.
