The “Loyalty to the Resistance” bloc launched a sharp attack on the Lebanese authority, considering that its bet on the path it adopted with Israel had fallen, while it directed direct criticism at the President of the Republic against the backdrop of his positions on ending the state of hostility with Israel, in conjunction with its condemnation of the American escalation against Iran.
The bloc said, in a statement issued after its regular meeting in the presence of all its members, that the United States continues its escalation against the region, especially Iran, while Israel increases the pace of its attacks on southern Lebanon, including bulldozing, demolition, uprooting trees and stealing water, in light of what it described as “international silence,” “American complicity,” and “official Lebanese negligence.”
She touched on the situation in Palestine, especially the West Bank and Gaza Strip, considering that the Palestinians are facing a continuous attack, coinciding with the expansion of settlement and the attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque.
On the anniversary of the disappearance of Imam Musa al-Sadr and his two companions, Sheikh Muhammad Yaqoub, and journalist Abbas Badr al-Din, the bloc renewed its condemnation of the crime, considering that its goal was to silence al-Sadr’s voice and his positions against Israel. She also confirmed that Hezbollah and the Amal Movement continue to adhere to the resistance approach to defending Lebanon and liberating its land.
Regarding internal affairs, the bloc considered that “the Lebanese authority’s bet fell and its illusions were shattered after the failure of its compromise option in the framework agreement,” describing the agreement as “illegitimate and unconstitutional,” and considering that Israel is using it as a cover to continue its attacks on the occupied territories and southern villages.
It called on the authority to abandon this approach, considering that it deepens the national crisis and perpetuates the occupation. It also accused it of neglecting to bear its responsibilities towards the repercussions of the attacks, the displaced and those affected, in addition to livelihood issues, electricity outages, and rising prices and appointments.
In a direct stance towards the President of the Republic, the bloc affirmed that “hostility to Israel is a charter condition” enshrined in the Taif Agreement and legal texts, considering that the president’s insistence on talking about ending the state of hostility with Israel constitutes “a deliberate disregard for the Charter, the laws, and the pain of our people.” She added that no party, regardless of its position, can erase this situation from the charter, law and national culture.
Regarding the Iranian file, the bloc strongly condemned the American escalation, the economic blockade on Iran, and the targeting of civilians, affirming Tehran’s right to defend itself by appropriate means, and saluting the Iranian armed forces and internal solidarity in the face of the attack.
