The Media Office of the Ministry of Finance announced that Finance Minister Yassin Jaber suffered a health illness that required him to be admitted to the hospital to undergo a series of routine medical examinations.
The office explained, in a statement, that the results of the tests were reassuring, noting that the doctors advised Minister Jaber to take a short period of rest before resuming his usual activity.
He confirmed that Jaber will return to his duties and activities in the coming hours, after ensuring his health condition.
The Ministry of Finance’s clarification comes after information was circulated about Minister Jaber’s admission to the hospital, at a time when he continues to follow up on the financial and administrative files related to the ministry’s work and the meetings scheduled on his agenda.
