Finance Minister Yassin Jaber signed a project to secure appropriations worth 425 billion Lebanese pounds for the benefit of the Internal Security Forces, to cover school scholarships for retired military personnel, while he continued to follow up on the preparation of the draft budget for the year 2027 in preparation for submitting it to the Council of Ministers at the end of this August.
According to the National News Agency, the appropriations project aims to cover school scholarships for retirees by 100% of the value of the scholarships provided by the State Employees Cooperative.
Regarding the budget file, Jaber held a series of meetings with the relevant directors in the Ministry of Finance, during which he discussed the sections of the 2027 budget draft in details and numbers, with the project being completed and submitted to the Council of Ministers on the specified date at the end of this month.
In a separate matter, the Minister of Finance received a delegation from the International Assembly, presenting the Assembly’s activities. The meeting also discussed the economic and financial conditions and circumstances that Lebanon is going through.
