The Lebanon Debate correspondent reported that a traffic accident occurred after the Chekka Tunnel towards Tripoli, as a result of a sudden mechanical failure that led to the driver of a military vehicle losing control of it, so it deviated from its path and collided with the cement divider.
According to information, the accident did not result in any injuries, while the damage was limited to material.
The accident led to a traffic jam in Mahalla, as a result of traffic on the road towards Tripoli being affected.
The accident comes in light of the recurrence of traffic accidents on Lebanese roads during the recent period, which brings the issue of traffic safety back to the forefront, especially on the highways and main axes that witness heavy traffic.
