An early depression is knocking on Lebanon's doors... a weather warning for farmers

Lebanon is entering a weather-turbulent weekend, amid warnings of thunderstorms that may be locally heavy, accompanied by active winds, hailstones, and the possibility of torrential rains, especially in the north of the country.

The agricultural meteorological channel in Akkar warned of an unusual weather disturbance that is expected to affect Lebanon by the end of the week, in light of indications of the approach of an upper depression that is considered early for this time of the year.

According to forecasts, Saturday and Sunday may witness a state of instability, accompanied by locally heavy thunderstorms in some areas, especially in northern Lebanon, with the possibility of local torrents, active wind speeds, and hailstones.

In a special warning, the channel called on farmers to raise the level of preparedness and take the necessary preventive measures, especially to protect crops and greenhouses from potential damage resulting from strong winds, hail, or heavy rain during short periods.
