Representative Amin Shiri expressed his optimism about the US-Iranian agreement, in terms of form and content, noting that there are positive indicators for completing this understanding, which is based on two stages.
Sherri said, through “Voice of All Lebanon,” that what is required today is a clear declaration of the terms of the understanding, and official Iranian approval of the agreement, awaiting how US President Donald Trump deals with it, hoping to reach a “happy conclusion” that will reflect on the situation in Lebanon.
Sherri stressed the importance of a ceasefire on all fronts, considering that Israel is “the biggest loser from the reached agreement.”
He reiterated that “no one will be able to disarm the party.”
Regarding the direct negotiations file in Washington, Sherri criticized their course, considering that they remained without any executive measures for Lebanon.
He said that the state made concessions to Israel without guarantees to Lebanon, noting that the word “withdrawal” was not even mentioned in the outcome of the recent negotiations, and that only constructive phrases were sufficient.
He added that the party does not agree to complete this direct negotiating path, considering that the next round will be a clone of the previous one.
