Israeli army spokeswoman Ella Wawiyeh announced today that five Israeli citizens crossed the border into Lebanese territory for a distance of several meters, before an Israeli military force that was operating in the area returned them into the occupied Palestinian territories.
Wawiya explained, in a statement published on the “X” platform, that the military personnel detained the five citizens until the Israeli police arrived, noting that they were later transferred to complete the procedures and follow-up with the competent authorities.
She stressed that the Israeli army condemns this crossing, considering that the incident constitutes a criminal violation and exposes military forces and citizens to danger.
