Israeli army spokesman Avichai Adraee issued an urgent warning to the residents of a number of Lebanese towns in the south and western Bekaa, calling for their immediate evacuation and to stay away from them for a distance of no less than 1,000 metres.
The warning included the towns of: Al-Rayhan – Jezzine, Jarjou, Kafr Rumman, Numeiriyah, Arabsalim, Jamijma, Mashghara, Qalaya – Western Bekaa, and Harouf.
Adraee said, on the “X” platform, that the Israeli army “is forced to act forcefully against Hezbollah” against the backdrop of what he described as “a violation of the ceasefire agreement,” stressing that the army “does not intend to harm the population.”
He called on residents to “evacuate their homes immediately and move away from villages and towns to open lands,” warning that “everyone who is near Hezbollah members, facilities, and combat means is putting their lives in danger.”
