The Israeli escalation in southern Lebanon continues at a high rate, with a series of air strikes and simultaneous targeting that targeted several towns in the Tire and Bint Jbeil districts, resulting in martyrs and wounded, including children, amid intense flights of military aircraft and drones over the area.
In the latest developments on the ground, an Israeli drone targeted a motorcycle on the Qalila-Deir Qanun highway in the Tire district, leading to the martyrdom of two Syrians, while civil defense teams worked to withdraw them from the place in coordination with the Lebanese army.
Information also reported that Israel targeted a center affiliated with the “Health Authority” in the town of Qalawayh, in a new escalation affecting medical and relief centers in the south.
In parallel, Israeli warplanes launched morning raids on the towns of Shaqra and Safad al-Batikh, amid a state of tension and alert in the southern villages.
For its part, the Ministry of Public Health announced, through the Health Emergency Operations Center, that the Israeli raid on the town of Badiyas in the Tire district led to the death of one person and the wounding of 13 others, including 6 children and 2 women.
This escalation comes in light of the continuation of daily confrontations between Israel and Hezbollah, with the expansion of Israeli targeting to roads and civilian and health centers in the south, coinciding with warnings of the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the border areas.
These developments also coincide with the faltering political efforts aimed at establishing a ceasefire, and the continuation of field tension along the southern front, amid fears that the situation will slide towards a broader confrontation in the coming days.
