The Secretary-General of the Future Movement, Ahmed Hariri, sent a greeting to the General Directorate of Public Security, on the occasion of its 81st anniversary, praising the institution’s achievements and the sacrifices of its officers and members in various circumstances.
Hariri wrote through his account on the “X” platform: “On his 81st anniversary, a proud tribute to the Lebanese General Security, the institution that has proven that true success is measured by what is accomplished in the most difficult circumstances.”
He added: “All salutes to its martyrs, to the sacrifices of its officers and members, and to its leadership, which proves with them every day that strong state institutions are the safety valve and the symbol of security and stability.”
Hariri concluded: “Happy New Year to public security, and Lebanon, with the achievements and sacrifices of its military and security forces, is safer and more secure.”
Hariri’s message comes as part of a series of positions and congratulations issued on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of Public Security, and praised the role played by the directorate at the security and administrative levels, and its efforts to protect stability and serve citizens.
Public Security Day is an annual occasion to honor the martyrs of the Directorate and the sacrifices of its officers and members, and to shed light on the tasks it undertakes, from monitoring borders and organizing entry, residence and departure affairs, to issuing passports and travel documents and following up on a number of security files.
