According to the newspaper “Mundo Deportivo”, the Catalan club will receive more than 4 million euros annually, while the EgyptAir logo will appear on the front of the handball team’s shirt during matches.
The deal ends the absence of a global sponsor from the aviation sector from Barcelona since the end of its partnership with Qatar Airways in 2017, and aims to strengthen the club’s presence in the Middle East and African markets.
Chairman of the Board of Directors of EgyptAir Holding, Ahmed Adel, described the agreement as an unprecedented achievement in the company’s history, while Barcelona stressed that the partnership supports its international expansion strategy and its access to new markets.
