Israeli Army Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir confirmed that his forces are ready and alert on all fronts, declaring that the army will continue to work offensively and systematically to prevent Israel’s opponents, especially in Gaza and Lebanon, from rebuilding their capabilities.

Zamir said, during a field tour he conducted on Tuesday in the Gaza Strip: “We will not allow our enemies on the borders, especially in Gaza and Lebanon, to rebuild their strength again. Rather, we will continue to work to weaken them in an offensive and systematic manner.”

He added: “We will not allow armed infrastructure to take hold, and we will use every opportunity to eliminate threats as they arise. We are applying the lessons learned, and we have changed our approach, and the Israeli army will not return to what it was on October 6.”

Zamir stressed that the pursuit of the militants who participated in the October 7 attack continues, stressing that everyone who participated in it will remain pursued until they are liquidated, and that this mission has a high priority and is committed to by the leadership level and the entire Israeli army.

Zamir conducted his tour accompanied by the Commander of the Southern Region, Major General Yaniv Asour, and the Commander of the Gaza Division, Brigadier General Liron Batito, along with the commanders of the brigades and battalions.

During the tour, Zamir met with the commanders of the brigades and battalions in the Gaza Strip, who presented to him a picture of the operational situation and the activity of the forces in the region, while expressing his appreciation for the soldiers and commanders working in the Strip in defense of the residents of Israel.

Zamir said: “In about a month and a half, we will commemorate the third anniversary of October 7. Three years in which the Israeli army has been waging a multi-arena, complex and continuous battle, in Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, Syria, Iran and other fronts.”

He considered that this confrontation constitutes a very big challenge to the Israeli army, claiming that his forces achieved “exceptional achievements” in all arenas and regions, and won all battles, greatly weakening all of Israel’s opponents and causing damage to their capabilities and infrastructure.

He added: “We continue to prepare and be on alert in all arenas, based on our awareness that the war is not over.”

Regarding Gaza, Zamir stressed that the Israeli army will not abandon the goal of disarming the Gaza Strip and dismantling the Hamas movement “by all necessary means.”

He said that the army continues to work systematically to continually harm Hamas and its leaders everywhere, including implementing a sustained campaign to prevent it from rebuilding its strength.

He reiterated that the prosecution of the participants in the October 7 attack will continue until they are liquidated, describing it as a long-term mission to which the leadership level and the entire Israeli army are committed.

He continued: “Our message is clear. We have conducted investigations and are drawing lessons. The Israeli army will not return to the approach we witnessed on October 6. There is no containment and no tolerance for threats.”

He added: “We will not allow the enemy to rebuild its strength, nor will we allow armed infrastructure to take hold, and we will work at every opportunity to remove threats while they are emerging.”

Zamir pointed out that the army listens to the voices of residents and understands their concerns, stressing that it will reach everyone behind any threat to them.

He said that the Israeli forces are ready on the front opposite the towns, where they continue to disrupt armed infrastructure and eliminate militants, as he put it.

He pointed out that his previous meeting with the leaders of the “Givati” Brigade and the 401st Brigade took place on the northern border of Israel about 3 months ago, before they moved to the Gaza Strip to continue what he described as “deepening the achievements.”

He said that the Southern Command and the division continue to thwart threats with precision and at every opportunity, considering that what he described as “tremendous achievements” are based on the forces’ resolute and uncompromising activity in the field.

He also referred to his meeting with the reserve battalion of the 11th Brigade, explaining that the battalion is conscripted in this course for 90 days, and that he is aware of the exceptional difficulty faced by reserve soldiers and their families, stressing the army’s commitment to continuing to work for them.
