In his speech, the head of the “Our Say and Work” Association, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Qattan, stressed that Islamic unity constitutes the strongest and most capable guarantee for achieving victory over the enemies of Islam and humanity, considering that commemorating the birth of the Noble Messenger must be an occasion to invoke the values called for by Islam, foremost of which are unity, solidarity, and supporting the oppressed.
Al-Qattan stressed that confronting Israel is not limited to one group or sect, considering that it is an enemy of Muslims, Christians and all of humanity, and calling for adherence to the approach of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in confronting injustice and aggression.
He pointed out that the Messenger’s approach is based on protecting the land, honor, and sanctities, considering that jihad represents one of the basic means of defending them, and that restoring the land and sanctities cannot be achieved, according to his position, through negotiations, surrender, or submission.
Al-Qattan stopped at the Palestinian issue, wondering about the feasibility of negotiations and international resolutions in restoring Palestine. He said that the experience extending since 1948 did not lead to the restoration of the land, considering that restoring rights requires strength, adherence to the position, and not abandoning the Palestinian cause.
He stressed that he cannot be far from Palestine, Gaza, Lebanon, or any country where there is resistance facing Israel, considering that positions on major issues should not be built on worldly interests, but rather on religious and principled commitment.
Al-Qattan stressed that whoever chooses to stand by the resistance may face costs and sacrifices, stressing that whoever chooses the afterlife should not abandon his principles because of pressure or interests, and stressing that the resistance movements will prevail, even if victory is delayed.
He also stressed that delaying victory should not lead to turning away from the Qur’an or the approach of the Messenger, nor from Palestine, Gaza, Lebanon, and other resistance movements.
Al-Qattan addressed the reality of Lebanon and the Israeli attacks on its south, noting the rise of thousands of martyrs and the destruction and bulldozing of large parts of the south, and affirming his support for the resistance in Lebanon.
He stressed that sectarian affiliation should not be a reason to stay away from any party facing attack, considering that love of the homeland requires standing by the force that defends it.
He stressed that the people of the South are people of honor, loyalty and sacrifice, and that their blood will not be in vain, but rather will yield victory and empowerment for all of Lebanon and the Lebanese regardless of their sectarian, sectarian and party affiliations.
Al-Qattan considered that love for Lebanon requires standing by those facing Israeli attacks, stressing the refusal to abandon the elements of force that protect the country in the face of those who attack it, demolish its homes, and bulldoze its lands.
He also cited the experience of the Islamic Republic of Iran, speaking about its transition from the stage of relations with the United States and Israel during the days of the Shah to the stage of confrontation, considering that force is the way through which one can confront the enemy and restore rights.
For his part, the head of the Baalbek-Hermel parliamentary bloc and member of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc, MP Hussein al-Hajj Hassan, discussed the concept of Islamic unity and Islam’s position on alliance and loyalty to the United States, stressing that commemorating the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) must be linked to reviving the values and principles he called for, foremost of which is the unity of the nation.
Hajj Hassan said that Islam is incompatible with loyalty to America, alliance with it, and serving its interests, considering that commemorating the Prophet’s birthday should be an occasion to renew adherence to these principles, stressing that Islamic unity must be a top priority.
He stressed that the life of the Noble Messenger Muhammad (PBUH) was based on supporting the oppressed and confronting the oppressors, pointing to his standing in the face of the tyranny of Quraish and his support of the weak, and the values of solidarity and brotherhood he embodied among the various groups of society.
Hajj Hassan called for not allowing differences between peoples and tribes to turn into conflicts that serve the interests of others, stressing the need to focus on the common goals of the nation.
He said that the resistance is proud to stand by Gaza, Palestine and all the issues of the oppressed, stressing the continuation of this position towards Palestine, Gaza and the West Bank, in addition to adhering to the unity of the nation and the issues of the oppressed.
Hajj Hassan recalled the position of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in the face of the pressures exerted on him, citing his refusal to abandon his calling despite the offers and pressures.
He stressed that the resistance will not abandon its choice to confront American and Zionist arrogance despite the great sacrifices, referring to the martyrs who fell on the battlefields of confrontation, including the leaders and martyrs of the resistance and the martyrs of Gaza and Palestine, and affirming his confidence that God is the best helper and helper.
