Member of the “Loyalty to the Resistance” bloc, MP Ihab Hamadeh, launched a sharp attack on the existing negotiating track between Lebanon and Israel, considering that the “Framework Agreement” represents a humiliation and will fall, while he stressed that the weapons of the resistance will not be the subject of discussion as long as the Israeli occupation exists.
During an interview on the “Spectrum” program on Red TV, Hamada discussed the confrontation between Iran and the United States and its regional repercussions, in addition to the arms issue, direct negotiations with Israel, and developments related to southern Lebanon.
Hamadeh considered that “things are clear, and the 20% that US President Donald Trump wants in the Strait of Hormuz represents clear piracy,” stressing that “the American bases in the Gulf are considered, according to the law, an occupation, and the purpose of their presence is to target Iran.”
Regarding the understanding signed between Tehran and Washington, Hamadeh said: “With the consensus of the world, the understanding that was signed between Iran and America is considered an American surrender, as it does not include any clause that is in the interest of the United States.”
He added, “Iran has prepared and is still preparing for the possibility of a new war with America,” considering that “the Iranian people, in their vast majority, are the ones who protect power in Iran, and the most prominent voice in the country is demanding revenge for Mr. Ali Khamenei and not continuing negotiations.”
Hamadeh stressed that “Hezbollah did not support Iran in the recent confrontation, and it does not need support from the party,” pointing out that reality has proven that “our axis is strong and controls the global artery, and that the two most powerful armies in the world were unable to enter a single meter from Iran.”
He believed that Israel “lost all its bets,” stressing that “the dream of a greater Israel collapsed.”
Regarding the Lebanese file, Hamadeh accused the authority of “mortgaging the south to the Israeli enemy,” describing the Lebanese-Israeli agreement as “an agreement of humiliation and surrender.”
He said, “President Joseph Aoun linked the Israeli withdrawal to the handover of the last weapon located on the Syrian border in Hermel,” stressing at the same time that “Lebanese law prohibits communication with residents of Israel, and not only with those holding Israeli citizenship.”
Hamadeh described the Rome negotiations as “a conspiracy against Lebanon, humiliation and surrender,” considering that “the framework agreement is humiliating and will fall.”
He added that “more than half of the Lebanese do not agree with the agreement, and the Shiites are not the only ones who harbor hostility towards Israel,” stressing that “the alternative to Lebanon’s surrender is resistance, and without it, none of the pillars of power would have remained in his position, and Lebanon would have been part of the Israeli entity.”
In defense of the resistance weapon, Hamada said: “This weapon is the most honorable weapon, and it was not used to kill at checkpoints. Rather, we carry it in defense of our land and our dignity.”
He stressed that “as long as the Israeli occupation continues, the issue of weapons is not a subject of discussion.”
He considered that “the Syrian reality does not tolerate the risk of intervention in Lebanon, and the Arab situation is not appropriate.”
