The Finnish company “Oura” revealed its new smart ring, “Oura Ring 5,” describing it as the smallest smart ring in the world, as it comes in a 40% smaller size compared to the previous version, and weighs only two grams, with a scratch-resistant titanium body and water resistance to a depth of 100 meters.
The new generation included a comprehensive mechanical redesign of the internal components, which included re-adding low-profile protrusions at the bottom that contain more powerful LED lights to provide better contact with the skin and more accurate health readings.
The price of the basic model of the new ring starts at $399, and requires a monthly subscription to access full health data. The launch coincided with the launch of new health features, including monitoring blood pressure indicators, monitoring night breathing, and tracking weight loss medications, which will gradually be available to all users of the company’s devices.
