The Iranian Tasnim news agency, citing a source close to the negotiating team, revealed that the United States once again sent a negotiating text to Tehran through the Pakistani mediator, just three days after Iran handed over its 14-item proposal.

According to the source, Iran is currently studying the American text without providing any official response yet, while the Pakistani mediator in Tehran continues his efforts to bring views closer and reduce the gaps between the proposed proposals, without reaching a final result until the moment.

This comes after Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghaei confirmed that the exchange of messages between Tehran and Washington is still continuing based on the Iranian proposal, indicating that his country’s priority is to “end the war on all fronts, release frozen funds, and stop provocative actions and maritime piracy against Iranian ships.”

On the other hand, the Speaker of the Iranian Shura Council, Muhammad Baqir Qalibaf, raised the ceiling of warnings, considering that “the enemy’s overt and covert movements” indicate the pursuit of a new round of war.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard also warned that any new aggression against Iran would lead to the expansion of the war beyond the borders of the region, while the Iranian army spokesman, Brigadier General Mohammad Akrami Nia, confirmed that his country “is not subject to siege or defeat,” threatening to open “new fronts” and use “different methods and tools” if the attack on Iran is repeated.

These statements reflect the continued acute tension despite the ongoing diplomatic efforts, amid a race between negotiation and military escalation in the region, especially with the continuing pressures related to the Strait of Hormuz and the ongoing war on more than one front.
