Israeli army spokeswoman Ella Wawiyeh announced, via the “X” platform, that Israeli army forces thwarted an attempt to smuggle 4 M-16 weapons across the western border.
Wawiyah said that army surveillance forces detected, on Tuesday, a drone that had penetrated from the west into Israeli territory, in an attempt to smuggle combat equipment.
She added that forces from the Faran Brigade intercepted the drone, which was carrying 4 M-16 weapons.
She indicated that the seized weapons were referred to the competent security services to complete the necessary investigations and procedures.
