Meta has allowed Instagram users to edit the comments they add to posts, but within a specific time frame.
According to the Meta announcement, the edit must be made within only 15 minutes from the time the original comment was published.
This feature is similar to the method used by the application to modify direct text messages, and it is a feature that was added for the first time in 2024, that is, 11 years after the launch of the direct messaging feature on “Instagram” in 2013.
You can only edit comments that you have written from your personal account, and the editing process is very easy. Simply click on the word “Edit” below your comment, and a text window will appear in which you can change, rephrase, or improve what you wrote, then click on the blue check mark to save the edit. Meta explains that comments can be edited as many times as needed during the available 15-minute period, allowing you to make further changes if necessary. (Russia Today)
