"Before it's too late": Trump threatens additional measures following the destruction of a vital bridge

In a remarkable development of events, US President Donald Trump announced on Thursday the destruction of what he called “the largest bridge in Iran,” threatening to continue targeting the country’s basic infrastructure.

Trump published a video clip documenting the moment the bridge was destroyed, accompanied by a strong warning to Tehran, calling on it to engage in dialogue “before it is too late,” adding: “The largest bridge in Iran is completely collapsing and will not be used again… and more to come.”

This announcement coincides with news of the targeting of the strategic “B1” bridge linking Tehran and Karaj, as the circulated pictures showed severe damage and partial collapse of its concrete structure.

The bridge is considered one of the most important modern infrastructure projects in Iran, as it was classified as the highest bridge in the Middle East region, and it was recently opened, which gives it strategic importance in the field of transportation and energy.

In a related context, local news reports stated that the attacks also targeted the Alborz Innovation and Industry facility, resulting in material losses at the site.

This development comes within the scope of the ongoing escalation between the United States and Israel on the one hand, and Iran on the other hand, as the targeting area expands to include strategic facilities and vital infrastructure.

The targeting of these sites shows that the confrontation has moved to a more urgent stage for the Iranian economy, in light of threats to launch more attacks if a political settlement is not reached.
